The Church of Christ and The Protestant Sects

Actually I dont want to write a post for this blog about religion. But, I just couldnt stay here in front of my computer without answering the question raised by a friend which was sent to me through email. She asked me the difference between the Church of Christ and the Protestant Sects.
To let you know, there is a great difference between these two: The Church of Christ and the Protestant Sects. They differ on the way they worship God, use the Bible, interpret the words of God and many aspects in spirituality. But since, they are both religion, so we should give importance to their teachings when comparing them.
On this post, I will give you one teaching which makes the Church of Christ different from the Protestant Sects. That is, the teaching on the value of the Church membership in mans salvation.
Most of the Protestant Sects (if not all) believe or uphold the teaching that membership in the Church is not essential for mans salvation:
"These Churches, by and large, do not basically declare that membership in the Church (a particular denomination) is essential for salvation, rather that it is through trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. (Albert J. Sanders, D.D. Evangelical and Roman Catholic Beliefs Compared. page 20)
While the Church of Christ upholds the teachings of Christ, (because Christ is the head of it,) that one should enter the fold or flock, which is the Church of Christ, in order to be saved. To trust in Jesus Christ is truly necessary for salvation, but this is proven by following His words, that is, by seeking membership in the true Church not because the Church saves but because it is that which Christ will save:
I am the door; anyone who comes into the fold through me will be safe. (John 10:9, REB)
Take heed therefore to yourselves and to all the flock the church of Christ which he has purchased with his blood. (Acts 20:28, Lamsa Translation)
and Christ is himself the Savior of the church, his body. (Eph. 5:23, TEV)
